Lukáš Cabala at Artforum Bookshop

Join us on Wednesday, 25 June at 18:00 at Artforum Bookshop in Žilina for the presentation of Lukáš Cabala’s novel Spomenieš si na Trenčín? (Will You Remember Trenčín?), shortlisted for the European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL) in 2025.

Cabala’s latest novel continues the story from his previous two books, and follows Vincent, a second-hand bookshop owner, Laura, his companion, Tamara, a journalist, and Albert, a painter. These characters cross paths on the streets of Trenčín, exploring its hidden corners and drifting through different time periods and intellectual realms.

This novel is Cabala’s poetic love letter to Trenčín, seamlessly blending past and future, reality and imagination. The book features evocative illustrations by Juraj Toman, whose artwork enriches the narrative and deepens its unique atmosphere.
