Anahit Avetisyan is a literary translator and conference interpreter. She holds a Master degree in translation from the Ecole de traduction et d’interpretation of the University of Geneva, and was also part of the Fellowship Programme in Paris organized by BIEF and French National Book Center (CNL) for foreign publishers, editors and rights managers. She was a member of the editorial committee for the special number dedicated to Armenia of the European online Transcript review on the Literature Across Frontiers platform and has been responsible for the bilingual collection of Contemporary Francophone literature at the Actual Art publishing house (Yerevan, Armenia) up until 2015. Anahit Avetisyan has translated into Armenian such authors as Michel Butor, Alain Robbe-Grillet, Robert Pinget, Nicolas Bouvier and others, as well as children’s literature. She also translates the works of Armenian contemporary writers into French.
