EUPL laureates at the Thessaloniki Book Fair 2021

On Friday, 26 November at 5.00pm local time, as part of the Thessaloniki Book Fair, Vakxikon Publications is inviting EUPL laureates Inga Zolude (Latvia, 2011), Gabriela Babnik (Slovenia, 2013), and Isabelle Wéry (Belgium, 2013) to present their EUPL-awarded books. The event will be moderated by author and literary critic Lilia Tsouva, with excerpts of the books read by actor Angelos Kourepis. 

In collaboration with: Latvian Literature, Slovenian Book Agency, Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.

Maria Navarro Skaranger and Ida Hegazi Høyer in conversation with Women's Writes

Marta Dzido at Bardzo Fajný Festival, Prague, Czech Republic

On Saturday, 23 November 2019, EUPL laureate Marta Dzido will participate in a discussion of her book "Frajda", now also available in Czech under the title "Slast" (Dokořán, 2019), translated by Anna Plasová. The event will take place at Bio Oko in Prague and is part of the Bardzo fajný festival, which is dedicated to Polish film and culture. Following the discussion of her book, the author and documentary filmmaker will participate in a presentation and screening of her film "Siłaczki".

Maša Kolanović and Lana Bastašić at Booksa in Zagreb

On Tuesday, 6 October, at 6pm local time, EUPL 2020 laureates Maša Kolanović (Croatia) and Lana Bastašić (Bosnia and Herzegovina) will be talking about their awarded books in the park in the from of the Booksa bookshop in Zagreb, Croatia. The discussion will be moderated by Miljenka Buljević.

EUPL 2021 AWARD CEREMONY

The European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL), as part of the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, awards emerging fiction writers in Europe and beyond. On 9 November, the EUPL 2021 Award Ceremony will celebrate this year’s 13 laureates of the Prize.
