EUPL authors will participate in several events at the Budapest International Book Festival. 

  • Pavol Rankov, Richard Pupala, Ivana Dobrakovová and Viktor Horváth will have special book launches on Friday (27/9), Saturday (28/9) and Sunday (29/9), their books will be published in Hungarian.
  • Todor Todrov and Anja Mugerli will have special readings for students of their Bulgarian and Slovenian languages and literature on Thursday and Friday (26-27/9).
  • On 27th September there is a common roundtable event celebrating “15 Years of European Union Prize for Literature”, with Anja Mugerli, Ivana Dobrakovová, Todor Todorov and Puskás Panni. The event is taking place in the context of a whole-day event with panel discussions with fellow writers from France, Poland, Croatia, Slovakia, Romania, Germany and Hungary. The authors will talk about dealing with the past in central European literature, about the East-West relations 35 years after 1989 and other interesting topics!
