The European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL) is thrilled to unveil European Stories from Ukraine, a special anthology marking the 15th anniversary of the prize. This collection demonstrates our unwavering support for Ukraine’s literary and book community. We are proud to feature two original short stories by celebrated Ukrainian EUPL authors, Haska Shyyan and Eugenia Kuznetsova.
This anthology is published in collaboration with the Literary Agency OVO. We are thankful to Viktoriya Matyusha, Managing Director of OVO, for her invaluable contribution. We also acknowledge the dedicated team of translators, editors, and illustrator Sofiia Sulii, whose illustrations beautifully complement the written works. A special mention goes to Ukrainian author Andrey Kurkov for his thoughtful foreword.
