September

  • 20th-21st September: Autumn Book Fair in Warsaw 
    • Iva Pezuashvili will talk about his novel A Garbage Chute and contemporary Georgian literature. The meeting will be hosted by Marcin Meller, the Polish journalist. 
  • 26th-29th September: Budapest International Book Festival
    • participation of several EUPL authors from Hungary and Slovakia: Pavol Rankov, Richard Pupala, Ivana Dobrakovová and Viktor Horváth will have special book launches on Friday (27/9), Saturday (28/9) and Sunday (29/9), as their new books will be published in Hungarian.
    • Todor Todrov and Anja Mugerli will have special readings for students of their Bulgarian and Slovenian languages and literature on Thursday and Friday (26-27/9).
    • On 27th September there is a common roundtable event celebrating “15 Years of European Union Prize for Literature” in the context of a whole-day event with discussions with fellow writers from France, Poland, Croatia, Slovakia, Romania, Germany and Hungary. The authors will talk about dealing with the past in contemporary literature, about the East-West relations 35 years after 1989. 
  • 26th-29th September: Gothenburg Book Fair 
    • Iida Rauma will talk about her novel Destruction (27/9). The summary is available on the English programme of the Book Fair (here).
    • Distribution of EUPL 2024 anthologies at the stand of Creative Europe Desk Sweden.
    • EUPL desk at the International Rights Centre of the Fair.

October

  • 1st-3rd October: LIBER Book Fair in Barcelona 
    • Event with Gabriela Ruivo on 2nd of October at 13:15. The event is co-organised with the Portuguese Embassy in Portugal and will feature a discussion about Gabriela's career as a writer, the impact of EUPL and a reading from her nominated book .
  • 16th-20th October: Frankfurt Book Fair
    • EUPL panel and reception at the Pavillion with Todor Todorov, Deniz Utlu, Gaea Schoeters, and Tina Vrščaj. 
    • Distribution of EUPL anthologies in national stands, as well as the publication European Stories from Ukraine.
    • Table at the Publishers Rights Centre, posters exhibition, presence at the Frankfurt Rights Meeting networking reception.

November

  • 15th-24th November: Utopia Literary Festival in Braga, Portugal
    • EUPL event with three authors on 22/11 at 18:00 with three authors: Amine Al Ghozzi, Haska Shyyan, and Beqa Adamashvili.
  • 20th-24th November: Vienna Book Fair
    • Distribution of EUPL anthologies and European Stories from Ukraine by the Fair, the anthologies will be distributed at Showroom stand B03.
    • A reading event and a moderated discussion with Gaea Schoeters. Gaea will present her novel Trophee. The event will be held on Saturday, 23/11 at 17:30. Find out more here.

December

  • 10th-15th December: Sofia International Literary Festival  
    • EUPL event with Lana Bastašić, Martina Vidaić, Matthias Nawrat, Nathalie. Skowronek
    • Distribution of EUPL anthologies and European Stories from Ukraine
