On Thursday, 7 November, 2019 EUPL laureate Sophie Daull will participate in a special event at the Médiathèque in Chambray-Lès-Tours to present her most recent prize-winning novel Au Grand Lavoir (Éditions Philippe Rey, 2018).

Co-organised by the Médiathèque Chambray-Lès-Tours and Cultura, this event will be a unique opportunity for readers to discuss the oeuvre of Sophie Daull in the presence of the author.

On 16 October, Matthias Nawrat, our EUPL2020 laureate for Germany, will be at the Literaturhaus talking with journalist Thomas Böhm as part of Frankfurt Book Fair.

From 19 to 28 February, six EUPL laureates will participate in the 2021 Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF).

On Wednesday, 9 October, EUPL heads to Athens: Located at the foot of the Acropolis, Little Tree Books & Coffee is hosting 2019 EUPL laureate Nikos Chryssos (GR) to present his award-winning novel New Day (Καινούργια μέρα, Kastaniotis Editions 2018).

After the summer break, we are kicking off back our partnership with the online feminist bookclub Women's Writes with a new September conversation featuring EUPL laureates Jan Carson (Ireland, 2019) and Maša Kolanović (Croatia, 2020). Join these two wonderful women in an online discussion with Women's Writes founder Sophie McDermott.

EUPL2020 laureate Stefan Bošković (Montenegro) will be promoting his EUPL-winning book ‘Ministar’ at the Gradske knjižare bookshop in Podgorica, Montenegro. The event, which will take place outdoor from 8:30pm, will be hosted by Montenegrin comedian and guitarist Aleksandar Radunović Popaj.

Echoing the International Mother Language Day of February 21st, EUPL 2012 winner Afonso Cruz from Portugal will have a public meet up at ULB on February 27th at 4:00PM. The event, celebrating portuguese-speaking writers, is co-organised by Brussels-based bookshop Librebook, the ULB, and the Camões Instituto da Cooperação e da Lingua (Camões Institute of cooperation and language).
