On 23 September at 7.00pm CEST, EUPL 2021 laureate for Portugal Frederico Pedreira will present his winning book 'A Lição do Sonâmbulo' at Brotéria in Lisbon, Portugal. He will be in discussion with Ricardo Duarte.

From 20 to 27 November, the European Literature Festival in Japan will bring together Japanese literary experts, translators, and writers from all over Europe. Three of our EUPL laureates will take part in different panels during the festival:
The 14 winning authors of the 2019 European Union Prize for Literature were announced on 22 May 2019 at the Permanent Representation of Romania to the European Union.

The EUPL 2021 Slovenian winner Anja Mugerli will lead a creative writing workshop on 10 November in Brussels. Hostel by the Culture Creative Corner, Slovenian lead cultural organisation, the event aims to bring together inspiring writers and wider Slovenian community based in Belgium.
The workshop will be followed by a short drinks reception and presentation of Anja's EUPL winning novel. Find out more and register here.
From 2 to 23 September, four of our EUPL laureates will appear in Brave New World, the online literary conversation series presented by the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF).
Through this series, JLF seaks to give a platform to narratives critical to our times: our 4 authors will be invited to take part in digital discussions with renowned Indian writers, journalists, and opinion makers.

Together with translator Mila Gavrilović, EUPL laureate Marta Dzido (Poland, 2019) will present 'Uživanje' - the Serbian translation of her EUPL winning book 'Frajda', at the Štrik publishing house in Belgrade, Serbia. The discussion will be moderated by Jelena Marinkov.

On 117 June at 7PM UK time, our laureates Lana Bastašić (Bosnia and Herzegovina 2020) and Raquel Martínez-Gómez (Spain 2010) will talk about their journeys to writing with the female-led online book club Women's Writes.
