Stories & Juke-Box at Theatre Le140

On February 6th, 2020, EUPL 2013 laureate Isabelle Wéry (Belgium) will have "carte blanche" at theatre Le140 in Brussels. The actress, playwright and novelist invited EUPL winners David Machado (Portugal 2015), Gabriela Babnik (Slovenia 2013) and Carolina Schutti (Austria 2015) for a literary and musical evening. The four authors will gather around belgian philosopher and writer Laurent de Sutter to discuss the stories we write in Europe, how they differ or not from one place to another and what brings us all together.

EUPL at the Frankfurt Buchmesse 2019

The European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL) has the pleasure of inviting you to the Frankfurter Pavilion at the Frankfurt Buchmesse on Friday, 18 October 2019. 

The 2019 EUPL winners Haska Shyyan (Ukraine), Nikos Chryssos (Greece) and Beqa Adamashvili (Georgia) will take part in a panel and discuss their writing, winning the EUPL and the importance of the EUPL in encouraging the development of European literature. 

The event will be moderated by the German author Lena Falkenhagen. 

Event with Tatiana Ţîbuleac and Claudiu M. Florian: Literature, Migration and Multilingualism

As part of the festival EUROPALIA Romania 2019, on 13 November 2019, a debate on Migration / Multilingualism will take place at the House of European History (Brussels, Belgium) in collaboration with The European Union Prize for Literature. Writers Tatiana Tibuleac who received this year European Union Prize for Literature 2019, and Claudiu Florian, who was also awarded the same prize in 2016, will participate in this encounter, moderated by Anne Bergman-Tahon, director of the Federation of European Publishers. 

SOPHIE DAULL AT MÉDIATHÈQUE, CHAMBRAY-LÈS-TOURS, FRANCE

On Thursday, 7 November, 2019 EUPL laureate Sophie Daull will participate in a special event at the Médiathèque in Chambray-Lès-Tours to present her most recent prize-winning novel Au Grand Lavoir (Éditions Philippe Rey, 2018).

Co-organised by the Médiathèque Chambray-Lès-Tours and Cultura, this event will be a unique opportunity for readers to discuss the oeuvre of Sophie Daull in the presence of the author.

EUPL laureates at BookForum Lviv

The Ukrainian BookForum of Lviv is moving online from 16 to 20 September. Over these 5 days, the event will feature 5 of our EUPL laureates across various digital talks: Haska Syyan (Ukraine, 2019), Jan Carson (Ireland, 2019), Lana Bastašić (Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2020), Maša Kolanović (Croatia, 2020), and Marta Dzido (Poland, 2019).
